How will we get the attention of people in the future? Through imagination, experiment, lateral thinking and story-telling. And through identification with the people we want to reach.
The advertising industry is undergoing constant evolution and restructuring. We're not just close observers of these processes – as participants in them, we pass these experiences on to our students.
In a group process, we search for solutions, find trends, test new approaches and apply them in advertising films. We see the HFF Advertising program as a training ground for future advertising directors and producers.
The objective is to help the most talented future "advertisers" lay the foundation of a show reel, with which they can present themselves to production companies. Thanks to our hands-on learning approach, students acquire experience that facilitates their entry into the professional world.
Course of study
Advertising is offered as an elective from the third semester on.
Each semester, students produce commercials and image films, from the idea to the finished film, and attend accompanying seminars and events focussed on the students’ current stage of production.
During the winter semester we offer basic seminars and workshops, in which students can discover and test their talent for, and understanding of, film in advertising.
During the summer semester, five students who have passed their intermediate examinations are given the opportunity to pursue an Advertising specialization. Over the course of the semester, each of these specializing students develops a commercial, or an image film, which is then produced during the summer term break.
